Dec 10, Looked into a couple of places where I thought vacuum leaks might be happening, but I didn't get chance to warm it up and do any proper tests. Single DCOE 40 on a cross over manifold. I found, entirely by trial and error and looking at the vac readings that the the rear barrel that feeds 1 and 4, due to cross over manifold needs loads more fuel than the front. This is a good place to start, but after many years of car changes and improvements, to gain maximum performance from the engine, some fine tuning is usually necessary. I'd also check the carburetor itself. Which fuel are you using?

Pain in the Ass Melissa Martin. I've cured a few ill's running on and such like with a tank of Shell V power. MGs are known for their dual carb set up. Jez what a night mare that was Dec 11,
Hey this is a great thread all over the shop: I hope not, and hope it is something simple--maybe carb issues? I did lube up the throttle which was sticking and this helped slightly, its now not too bad but im still not happy after paying for it to be tuned along with the pans, leads plugs and magtronic ignition. First was the gulp valve addition which adjusted the manifold vacuum with the air pump. But then I got so busy that I did not have any time to do anything Spit-related sad time , but when I did about 4 days later, I noticed a clean cut or split in the float chamber vent pipe about Keep repeating this step until pinging occurs, then back off to the previous setting and you're done.
